Both Disney maps are done! And both are now for sale over at my @imagekind gallery!
“I absolutely love coming back to the room at night and relaxing on the balcony with a few cold beers. And then I come inside and lie on the bed and watch Stacey running through all the parks, being perkily annoying yet somehow hot (especially in pigtails during the Typhoon Lagoon section), and i’ll have a few more beers.”
The Darkside of Disney by Leonard Kinsey
I got this book today, and this is just one of the funny things i’ve come across. Who doesn’t love Stacey? (She’s the girl on the Disney parks channels when you stay at one of the resorts)

Little Known Fact About “It’s A Small World”
Lost toddlers that aren’t claimed by the end of the day are dipped in plastic and swapped out with the original dolls. As of 2011, the only original all-plastic dolls left are the cowboy and indian in the finale room.
Here’s a project that i’m trying to wrap up. Could use some help. I think i got a pretty accurate representation of the countries represented in “It’s A Small World” at the Magic Kingdom. I’m attempting to re-imagine the ride as a world map. I used some cartographic license to create country borders, and still debating what to do with the finale room. Did a lot of board searching, youtubing, and research to get this far. Thought i’d put it out there for mistakes before i create the finished product.
I realize that IASW is more representative of cultures vice countries, but hey, it’s a map. What did i miss?

CONFIRMED - Disneyland Resort Will Be Getting a Starbucks!
You heard right, folks. Our sources are reporting and we can confirm that the coffee giant and entertainment giant have finalized a Starbucks location at the Disneyland Resort! The first Starbucks to open on the property will be opened within a new food retail location on Buena Vista Street as part of the Grand Re-Opening of the new DCA!
Located within the new Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café, this Starbucks will be discreet in theming, due to the fact there there was no Starbucks back in the 1920s (nope, there was not - we can confirm that, too). The location will be serving the same foods and drinks that your local Starbucks sells. We’re also waiting to hear if this location will also take your long lost Starbucks cards and (drumroll please!)…FREE WI-FI!
This is pretty big news for us caffeine lovers who want to grab a Venti drink before hitting the free chocolate samples from the Ghiradelli experience. We’ll have to wait and see how this turns out when it opens in June.
Until then, what are your thoughts? Will be you glad to use your Starbucks card at Disneyland or are you thinking this trip to the coffee shop will take a Fastpass?
